Why This Exists
CY is Ileana Marcut’s art practice: fragments and memories of possible functions, technologies and life forms.
Every fragment floats on one open canvas. Visitors pan and zoom through the collection by mouse, touch or keyboard, and open any fragment as a specimen card, its material and origin still being identified.
The fragments are generated with Midjourney, and the collection grows as new ones arrive.
We designed and built the site in-house, with more than 400 fragments on a single canvas.
